Spread the love

 Psalm 23:1-3

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters;

he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake.

Reflect and Pray:

By far, this is the best-known Psalm and one of the best-known passages of scripture.  This week’s theme talks about believers as sheep.  The sheep depended on the shepherd to find pasture and water for them.  The shepherd also provided shelter, medication and aid in the birthing of sheep.  All that being said, they are virtually helpless without the shepherd.

If we think our ourselves as the sheep in the psalm, where would we be if we did have Jesus in our lives?
